Working Towards a Better Tomorrow

    Our Story

Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. AMU Alumni Association emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2000, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. Contact us to learn more and get involved.

The mission of the AMU Alumni Association of Canada is to:

    1. Foster positive interaction among the alumni of Aligarh Muslim University residing in Canada and abroad, helping build an effective international network

    2. Promote a close and productive relationship with the university

    3. Encourage constructive engagement between the alumni and the community, both local and international, by contributing knowledge, time and resources to help those in need

In line with the professed desire of the founder of AMU, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan to help create a humane, inclusive and egalitarian society.

AMU alumni have been making their presence felt in Canada for over five decades. The senior most  alumnus is from the year 1959 with younger generation alumni making Canada their home each year.
